Scout Winter Programs

Thunder Ridge Ski Area offers many Ski and Snowboard Programs for Girl and Boy Scouts of all ages.  Located only 60 minutes north of New York City, we are a convenient day trip for all Scouts in the metropolitan New York area.  Ride the Metro-North Ski Train and we’ll provide a free shuttle from the Patterson, NY train station.

First timers or interested in improving your skiing/snowboarding skills, our staff will work with your Leaders and Scouts to provide exciting winter sports opportunities.  Whether an introduction to the sport or earning a badge in proficiency, we have the program for you!
Girl Scout Winter Sports Badge Workshop - Junior Girl Scouts – feeling adventurous?  Fill your day with fun and fitness and earn the Winter Sports Badge!

Snowsports Badge for Boy Scouts - Tiger, Cub, Webelos & Boy Scouts – experience the thrills and chills of skiing or snowboarding and earn the Snow Sports Merit Badge, Snow Ski and Board Sports Belt Loop or Sports Pin!

Scout Week 2012 - Discounted rates for Boy and Girl Scouts (with Scout ID) and their families is available  for the entire week from January 28 – February 6, 2012.  Rentals, lessons and safety seminars are offered!

Older Scout Nights - If you’re a Boy or Girl Scout, 6th grade and up, join us for an evening of  fun and fitness.  All programs include skiing, snowboarding, safety seminar, pizza and hot chocolate!
