Thunder Ridge Ski Area is proud to offer premium Tune & Repair Services to keep your gear running smoothly season after season. We take great pride in the work we do to tune and repair ski and snowboard gear. We have years of experience tuning for our USSA and Junior Olympic racers as well as our High School racers. We service racers from the local area and the Thunder Ridge Race Team on an ongoing basis throughout their season. We offer a level of accuracy and precision not easily found elsewhere.
Ski & Snowboard Tuning Services
Full Tune – Skis $45 Boards $60
Belt grind, minor base repair, machine sharpen, hot wax and roto brushed. Add a stone grind finish for $10.
Quick Tune – Skis $35 Boards $45
Machine sharpen and machine waxed. Hot waxed for an additional $5.
Sharpen Only –
Machine Sharpen Skis $25 Boards $30
Stone Grind Only – $30 Ski, $40 Board
Belt Grind Only – $20 Ski, $25 Board
Wax Only –
Hot Wax Skis $20 Boards $25
Rub on Wax Skis $15 Boards $20
Binding Mount –
Ski binding mount $55, add $5 if plugs are required.
Snowboard binding mount $20.

Ski Race Tuning Services
Full Race Hand Tune – $85 Over 120, $75 Under 120
Preparation of ski – minor base repair, bases stone ground flat with bottom customized structure;
Edges – Custom set bevel for desired side and bottom cuts, edges sharpened and polished;
Full cycle of wax – hand-iron multiple layers of hot wax topped with temperature specific wax, scraped and brushed to race perfection.
Quick Race Prep – $40
Maintain race level performance;
Edges sharpened and hand polished;
Bases scraped clean of old wax, hand-iron multiple layers of hot wax topped with temperature specific wax, brushed to race perfection.
Hand File Edges Only – $25
Cut side wall if needed, custom set bevel for desired side and bottom cuts, edges sharpened and polished.
Race Wax Only – $30 Ski
Full cycle of wax – hand-iron multiple layers of hot wax topped with temperature specific wax, scraped and brushed to race perfection.
Top Coat Only – $20
Temperature specific wax, brushed to race perfection.
Stone Grind Only – $30 Ski
